Can you provide an overview of your web design and build process?

Our process is made up of three phases:

Phase 1: We look into the current website, material and content. We also look into competitor websites, other websites in the same industry as well as websites that you like and want us to consider. Finally we look into your branding, color palete and overall company style and culture.

Phase 2: On our staging server, we build what we call the initial look’nfeel. This is essentially the first version of the site and is usually made up of a homepage and a secondary page. We then send out the link for review and request the initial feedback.

Phase 3: Based on the feedback we receive at the end of second phase, we start a series of iterations, updating and evolving the site until everyone is happy with the final result. 

How long does it take to create a new website?

The first two phases of our build process take about 1 week combined. The third phase depend on the complexity and size of the project. On average it takes about 2-3 weeks to finalize everything and go-live.

What does the price cover and what it does no cover?

It depends on the project but in general terms we aim to cover the end to end website design, structure, build, optimization and go-live.

What we don’t cover normally is hosting and domain. If you don’t have a hosting account already or a domain we can help you and guide you through the process. It’s all pretty straighforward. The reason we don’t provide these ourselves is that we feel your website should reside on a hosting account that you or the business owns, as it is a company asset. For the same reason you should own your own domain, again as this is a valuable company asset.

Which platforms do you use?

We primarily use WordPress as we feel is the most flexible and sophisticated platform currently in the market. We also use Wix, Squarespace and Shopify and we can offer competitive prices for projects that want to make use of these tools.

What type of payments do you accept what plans are available?

We accept any credit or debit card and our invoices are generated and sent via Paypal. If you have a personal or business paypal account you can use that – if not you can simply use any card available without having to register with Paypal.

How do you communicate with clients?

Our preffered method is email. The reason being that we can then reference any past discussion. We also use skype or zoom for screen sharing and phone when necessary (we are in Chicago, central time zone)

What other services do you offer besides web design?

Besides web design our services revolve primarily around marketing consultation and lead generation. We have a vast experience in PPC advertising as well as social media strategies, email marketing, influencer marketing, Facebook and Google audience re-targeting and PR. In most projects we encourage our clients to share their long term plans and we offer our suggestions based on our experience. A good website is a start but the real challenge is a functional sales and lead generation funnel. 

What do you need to get started?

The following are essential for any new web design project:

  • Logo original files (illustrator or photoshop)
  • List of sites you want us to consider
  • Text/Copy for the new website (if this is not available on an existing site)

Do you use themes?

Yes. We use premium themes and templates as and when required. We see themes as a means of saving time and money for our clients as we don’t have to re-invent the wheel when it comes to producing complex integrations and sophisticated page structures. The premium themes we use come packed with tons of features, functionalities and integrations that would take us months and huge budgets in order to re-create. We use themes and templates as our basis, and we then fully customize depending on the needs of the project. One thing to consider is that one of the main reasons for the success and evolution of platforms such as WordPress, Shopify and Squarespace is due to this exact architecture and theme-based model. 

Please explain your pricing model?

Every project is different however a general rule of thumb is the following: a 5-7 page website costs $1000. This would include the following:

  • Newsletter sign up forms and integrations to newsletter tools such as Mailchimp
  • Contact forms
